Attendees will receive an introduction to the process for fingerprinting new employees and substitute teachers as they are hired, as required in Texas Education Code, (TEC) Chapter 22, Subchapter C. Part 2 deals with campus safety, which is a concern for leaders of schools, parents and students. Join us as we discuss best practices as well as tips to make your charter a safer place for learning through heightened awareness and shared practices.

She has over 15 years of experience in education serving various roles including teacher for hearing impaired students, college professor, assistant principal, principal, and consultant. She resides in Arlington, Texas with her husband and two children.

Jeannie Tomasek has been the Fingerprinting Manager with the Texas Education Agency for just almost 7 years. Previous to this position, she served as a Certification Specialist with SBEC for 11 years, and a classroom teacher for 3 years.
