This session will discuss common findings of noncompliance in special education. Some of the most commonly cited areas in the last few years include accelerated instruction plans/intensive programs of instruction, specificity of frequency and duration of special education and related services, ARD committee membership, and personal graduation plans. The presenter will discuss what the common c findings have been and what the requirements are in relation to students who receive special education services.

Dawn White is a Special Education Coordinator at ESC-20.  She has worked in Special Education since 1998, first at a Southwest ISD, in San Antonio, TX, and at ESC-20 since 2004.  She has been the PBMAS, Residential Facility, and general compliance contact at ESC-20 for all LEAs, both ISDs and charters, since 2008 and has done numerous presentations, as well as helped LEAs develop and implement Corrective Action Plans.
